Matt Sani

I'm Matt, a third-year at UC Berkeley studying Economics and Data Science.

I'm most interested in AI outside of software — inside the firms, back offices, and institutions that run the real economy, in developed and emerging markets alike. In particular, I care about drawing the line between measurable value and noise.

These days, I take on clients for independent AI strategy & implementation consulting and work on a few projects on the side.

So far, I've consulted for a biofuel company in Rwanda, worked with teams at Pfizer and Walmart on AI strategy and data-driven go-to-market, and spent a couple of years at The Farmlink Project getting surplus food to people who need it.

This winter and spring, I'll be living out of a suitcase. I'm incredibly excited! This summer, I'll be in NYC with the Strategy & Execution team at EY-Parthenon.

In my spare time, I'm a mediocre runner and cyclist, crudo junkie, solo walk-in proponent, unsolicited Berkeley Bowl ambassador, and live music enjoyer.
